No. It has been tried multiple times. The cost savings is under 1%. Studies have shown that hospital administration changes can save more on medical malpractice concerns than changing law can.

For once argue your "free market" strategy. Hospitals need a kick in the rear to get them to make the changes, but they are worth a lot more than malpractice reform is. In this case government interference should be focused on leaning on medical services to update.

Update a hospital's technology so administrators can keep a closer eye on their doctors, and update administration practices. That will lower medical costs and malpractice costs.

Sorry about your health care situation, but this is only the beginning of the exorbitant costs we all will face if health care reform isn't immediately enacted. The first obstacle is the private insurance providers who have no actual competition and are only interested in their profit margins. A public option (similar to Medicare for all which is a government-run program for seniors) would solve the problem of the uninsured and under-insured and prevent act like rescission and denial of care. Change is always difficult, but this issue cannot wait.

roflmao.
Great question.
Republicans who are calling for tort reform did nothing about it when they controlled Congress and the Administration for six years.
It is another smoke screen bought and paid for by the insurance industries and spread by their people aka our politicians in Congress.
